A great diner that would probably be overlooked by most. Most of the staff have worked there for many years, providing a sense of familiarity on each return visit. The menu has also remained stable with many familiar diner dishes with a handful of unique trademark dishes to set them apart from their contemporaries. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a taste of old Americana with a wide selection of comfort foods.

A lovely place with great omelets! We’ve been visiting the same block quite several times. However, we’ve never noticed this little gem behind the green door. Worth a try!
It’s a very comfortable restaurant. I recommend the Irish scramble breakfast. The service was great. Tammy was really a nice waitress. The food was delicious and hearty.
This is my kind of dive bar! Very good diner food. I love a great dive and they're almost impossible to find in Seattle anymore. The omelettes are fantastic and they pour rocket fuel drinks. I love this place. Be sure to bring your teetotaling vegan friends! (1/24 edit:) The Great Dane Burger is a bit intimidating... and fantastic. Easily the best burger value in the Seattle area.
Kind of like an old school diner and the food is top notch. I had the club with fries and my homegirl had the burger dip. On point. Great fries. The waitress was very engaging and called us "hun" which is when I knew I was in the right place. Food came out quickly and hot. Good coffee and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience.
Fantastic place for a daily special and large portions. I made it for Prime Rib dinner. Really tasty food and nice people. Great clam chowder.

we just happen to run across shays and decided to stop by. OMG it did not disappoint. you walk in you instantly feel like you are a regular. the decore is like walking into grandma's house. such a warm friendly feeling. the staff is so amazing. Food is hands down amazing. a must stop by
Sarah at the bar was absolutely a sweetheart! She provided numerous options for drink ideas (when I couldn't make up my mind). She was patient, attentive, and very kind. The omelette I had was absolutely amazing, along with the hashbrowns, rye toast, and a Bailey's/Kahlua/brandy coffee to wash it all down! The bar/restaurant itself has been around forever and you can tell by some of the wear and tear but it only lends to the charm of this place! I think they could maybe throw in some quirky art to spice it up, but all in all a very cozy place!
